Doubles
To win a Double, you must select the winner of each of two nominated races. UNiTAB operates two separate Doubles - a standard Double and an Extra Double. Refer to the race meetings in Today's Racing information to find on which races the Doubles will operate. The minimum bet is 50 cents, however dividends are calculated and declared on a $1 basis. UNiTAB's average Double dividend on horse racing is $A99. You can take as many runners as you like in each race or 'leg' of a Double. To calculate the cost of your Double you simply multiply the number of selections in the first race or 'leg' by the number of selections in the second race or 'leg' by the amount of your bet. For example, if you select three (3) runners to win in the first leg with five (5) runners to win in the second leg for a $1 bet, the cost is 3 x 5 x $1 - $15. If you had the same bet for 50 cents the cost would be $7.50. Providing one of your selections in the first leg wins that race and one of your selections in the second leg wins that race, you win the dividend. WHAT IF ONE OF YOUR RUNNERS IS SCRATCHED? |
