Trebles
To win a Treble, you have to select the winners of three nominated races. UNiTAB operates a Treble on most race meetings. Check Today's Racing information to find out on which meetings the Treble will operate. The minimum bet is 50 cents. However, dividends are calculated and declared on a $1 basis. UNiTAB's average Treble dividend on horse racing is $A1,055. You can take as many runners as you like in each race or 'leg' of the Treble. The more runners you select to win each 'leg' the more combinations you get. To calculate the cost of your Treble you simple multiply the number of runners you have chosen for the first 'leg' by the number of runners chosen for the second 'leg' by the number of runners chosen for the third 'leg'. For example, if you select four (4) runners to win the first leg, three (3) runners to win the second leg and five (5) runners to win the third leg for a $A1 bet, the cost is: 4 x 3 x 5 x $1 = $60. If you had the same Treble for 50 cents the cost would be $30. Providing one of your selections nominated in each leg wins their particular race, you win the Treble dividend.
